Queens Park and Gardens is located in Chesterfield’s town centre, behind the Queens Leisure Centre. It consists of a cricket field, planted gardens, a couple of children’s playgrounds (one with sand and water),a boating lake and fields suitable for picnics and ball games. There is also a small train that will take you for a trip round the lake for £1 per person. Other attractions include the bandstands and a grade II listed glass house. There is a cafe with indoor and outdoor seating which houses toilets which are open to the puplic. Entry is free as is parking on the road outside, if you can find a space.
