Premier Inn Sheffield City Centre St Mary’s Gate opened in January 2009 and was the first hotel in the city equipped with automated check in travel pods. There are 122 rooms spread across 12 floors. Each of the rooms are air conditioned and come equipped with satellite TV, a telephone, modem points, tea and coffee making facilities and writing desks. All of the rooms have en suite bathrooms with both bath tubs and showers and Wifi is available in all rooms. Baby cribs are available on request and a few rooms have been adapted for disabled guests. An on site restaurant provides an all you can eat buffet style breakfast, which is available at an additional charge. The hotel is located within a 5 minute walk of the main city centre shopping areas and enjoys a location that is well served by public transport. For those with their own vehicle there is a multi storey car park attached to the hotel, which is available at a discounted rate for hotel guests.
