If you are fond of walking the countryside, then this is the ideal base for exploring the moors. The most scenic countryside is right on your doorstep, so there’s no need for cars or taxis during your stay.
The breakfast is the stuff of champions, and you’ll feel ready to take on the world after tucking into all that bacon. The evening meals are equally tasty, and you’ll certainly get your value for money.
The Wi-Fi signal is so poor that many guests have complained that they couldn’t even get online at all when in their rooms. Probably a good thing there is a nice TV in the room.
The rooms are supposed to be centrally heated, but, unfortunately, some guests have complained that the heating is inadequate for the room and so a chilly night had to be endured. Not great considering the cold British weather.
Although this is hardly the fault of the hotel, you might want to note that getting your phone to work in this area is quite a trial. You may have to do without internet access or even phone access for the duration of your stay.
