Filey Beach occupies a natural crescent shaped bay and stretches for 10 kilometres. Steep sandstone cliffs surround it to the north and limestone cliffs to the south. The sea is shallow and sheltered and provides safe bathing opportunities. There are no facilities on the beach itself although toilets, café’s, bars and gift shops can be found along Filey’s seafront. There are plenty of pay and display car parking spaces available close to the beach and it is also served by local public buses.
