Burton Constable in the East Riding of Yorkshire is a large Elizabethan House set within 300 acres of landscaped parkland. The house is the family home of the Constable family that have lived there for over 700 years. A museum and a cabinet of curiosities, both dating from the 18th century, are amongst its features as well as the Long Gallery and Chinese Room. The grounds were landscaped by Capability Brown and the building itself is Grade 1 listed. Both the house and its grounds and open to visitors throughout the year.
