About The James Reckitt Library

We want you to feel at home as soon as you step through one of our doors. This Gothic revival style building was Hull’s first public library. Established by James Reckitt, a philanthropist famed for his charitable work, the library was completed in 1889 and endowed to the public.\r\n\r\nWe purchased this elegant building and set about preserving its story, whilst creating fitting apartments. You can still see the original fitted glass cupboards and the checking in desk from the reference library inside.\r\n\r\nHulls first public library was converted into eleven fantastic luxury flats. \r\n\r\nWe have one available as serviced accommodation. We provide fantastic service at a great price.\r\n\r\nAmple parking. Fantastically stylish flats with all mod cons close to the city centre and close to marina and docks. \r\n\r\nAll kitchens are modern. Every bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with luxury walk in showers as standard.
