Guests staying at The Greno can relax in the comfortable lounge whilst admiring the views as well as take advantage of the on-site ticket assistance service. Continental and freshly prepared breakfasts are available each morning whilst guests can enjoy their lunch and evening meals at some of the nearby cafes and restaurants such as Antons Restaurant, Harbour View Cafe and Castle Tavern. The guest house overlooks the North Bay and those whose rooms were located at the front of the building said that waking up to the picturesque sea views was one of the highlights of their stay. Many appreciated being in close proximity to the beach as well as being able to get to the town centre on foot.
Guests were pleased to report that everything in their en-suites ranging from the linens through to the carpets was clean and hygienic. Many said they had all the necessary essential in their rooms needed for a comfortable stay and particularly appreciated the various hot and cold drinks available on the hospitality trays which were replenished daily.
The continental buffet was described as being extensive featuring numerous cold items such as yoghurts, cereals and fresh fruit. Those who opted for the hot dishes said they were cooked to perfection and made from high quality ingredients. If you like to start your day with a hearty meal then you won't be disappointed.
The bathrooms have been described as being rather compact with guests stating that they had little space to move around and also objected to the very tight shower cubicles .
There are five floors and no lift on the premises which meant that guests whose rooms were on the higher floors had to climb several flights of stairs on a daily basis. Many objected having to carry their heavy luggage up the stairs.
Guests reported experiencing problems when showering as the pressure was said to be quite low and quite a few objected to the fluctuating temperature as the water was said to go from cold to scolding.
