Bempton Cliffs is a nature reserve that is managed by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB). They are the highest sea cliffs in England and stretch for over 5KM (3 miles) in length and have an average height of 86 metres above sea level. This reserve is particularly noted for its breeding birds which include Puffins, Razorbills, Guillemots, Gannets, Fulmars and Kittiwakes. Five viewing points are provided and there is a picnic area as well as a visitor centre, a car park and toilets which are equipped with facilities for the disabled. The visitor centre is open daily throughout the year, except during Christmas week when it is closed. Between March and October it is open from 10am until 5pm. Between November and February it is open from 9.30am until 4pm. Entry onto the reserve is free for RSPB members but there is a charge of £3.50 (5.5 Euros) per vehicle for non members.
