Wollaton Hall is an Elizabethan country house built in 1588 by Robert Smythson for Sir Francis Willoughby. The central hall is surrounded by four towers. Today it houses the city’s Natural History Museum with a collection of stuffed animals and birds. The building is set in over 500 acres of historic deer park. On the grounds there are also the Industrial Museum, Steam Engine House, Wollaton Visitor Centre and the Yard Gallery exhibition space, committed to arts and environment. Opening hours of the Hall: March - October from 11am-5pm
