The Corn Exchange (Leeds, United Kingdom)

Dating from 1864 The Corn Exchange was designed by Cuthbert Brodrick, the same architect that was responsible for designing the city’s Town Hall. As its name suggests it was used originally used as a place where merchants traded cereals and other grains. Today the building is Grade 1 listed and regarded as a fine example of Victorian architecture. During the 1980’s it was refurbished and converted into a shopping centre. It is open seven days a week and is fully accessible by disabled visitors.
