The Civic Hall in Leeds stands in Millennium Square, right in the heart of the city centre. Vincent Harris, who won a competition in 1926, designed it and King George V officially opened the Hall in August 1933. Today, the building is used as the council offices for Leeds City Council and also includes the Lord Mayor’s dwellings. In addition to these areas there are numerous meeting rooms and banqueting halls that can be hired out by the general public. The building is a Grade 2 listed building.
