Although the rooms reportedly weren’t the height of luxury, they were more than sufficiently clean and comfortable for a stopover. Reviewers praised the way the rooms had a new look with modern decor, flat-screen TVs and tea and coffee-making facilities. There was also praise for the cosy king-size beds. The usually reasonable room rates went down well with most travellers and prompted them to say they got decent value for money.

Reviewers loved the city centre location as it put them within easy walking distance of shopping centres, bars and places to eat plus museums, theatres and attractions. Moreover, there were railway stations and bus stops located just a short walk away. Drivers said road links were good so it was pretty simple to explore a little further afield to discover regional sports venues, parks and Yorkshire beauty spots.
