Longleat Railway (Warminster, United Kingdom)

The Longleat Railway is a narrow gauge miniature railway system that is located within the grounds of Longleat House. It transports visitors around the lake and also runs through the safari park providing close range views of the animals. Each journey lasts between 10-12 minutes and begins within the station master blowing the whistle at a 1950’s style station. The railway has been operating since 1965 but since this time it has been extended and the original starting point has been moved, although the present station is close to the original one. It is now fully accessible for wheelchair users.
