Saadien Tombs (Marrakech, Morocco)

The burial ground was constructed for Sultan Ahmed el Mansour in the late 16th century. He created it for himself and his successors and there are a total of 66 indoor tombs and hundreds of tombs outside placed in between the palm trees. The Hall of the Twelve Columns is the most lavish tomb, Sultan Ahmed el Mansour and his male heirs are buried here. Opening times: 8am - 12pm and 2.30pm - 18.30pm daily
