Guests, in general, like the place in the chic Hivernage Quartier where the hotel is situated between the new and old towns. There are restaurants and clubs around yet the Jemaa El Fna and medina are just a short walk or taxi-drive away.
Guests like the spaciousness of the bedrooms, which most find comfortable too.
The downside of being in a lively quarter is that you risk being disturbed at night. A lot of guests have difficulty sleeping because of the noise coming from an adjoining disco which can go on until 5am.
Step past the regal splendour of the entrance hall and the sheen quickly wears off. A lot of guests find the hotel a bit dated and in need of refreshment. Many realise that it is certainly far from being a five-star hotel and is equivalent to a three-star standard. Is this state of repair a consequence of a poor occupancy rate or is it the reason for it? Many guests are attracted here principally by the price and despite not being the luxury establishment they were hoping for still feel it offers great value.
The quality of the food in the hotel, according to the guests, is at best mediocre and bland. The consensus is that the breakfasts are simply terrible, with bad quality coffee, whilst the meals in the restaurants are anything but flavoursome and authentic.
