Outdoor pursuits devotees loved being within easy driving distance of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks as well as the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Drivers appreciated the free on-site parking and proximity of the A66 and M6.

The free Wi-Fi network was a bonus for guests. However, there were occasional claims that the speeds and signal strength were underwhelming in some parts of the premises.
