Rooms vary in size and capacity. They have private bathroom facilities, free Wi-Fi, colour television, heating/air conditioning, safe deposit box and hairdryer. Hostal Hostal Cèntric provides twenty four hour reception cover.  There is a lift, living room and outside terrace for guests’ enjoyment.  Bed linen and towels are provided. Breakfast is not offered here but in the countless cafes, restaurants and bars in the immediate area.  Later lunch and dinner choices are also found in restaurants such as Botanic Café Bar, Lurantia and Foz. Airport buses leave from the Sepulveda bus stop a few hundred yards away and the nearest metro station is San Antoni.  The hostal is only a 10 minute walk from Plaza Catalunya and las Ramblas.

Positive Reviews

Friendly, English speaking staff.

No language problems here. Their English is excellent and if, say, you ask for directions; out comes the map and they direct you accordingly. This hostal is great!

Easy access to metro.

The L2 line, San Antoni, is only a few yards away. You may need to change at somewhere like Passeig de Gracia and if you do, it can be quite a long walk within that station itself.

Mis-titled as a hostal.

It’s not a hotel either, because there’s no catering here. It is, though, far in excess of the typical view of a ‘hostal’. It is well run, spotlessly clean and excellent value.

Missing a few niceties.

Toiletries, refrigerator and minibar would be nice but, hey! Look at the price you pay. That’s maybe asking too much! After all, there is a vending machine in the lobby and a supermarket next door!

Street noise.

Rooms facing on to the street can be subject to noise. Other rooms to the rear are much quieter.

Poor sound insulation.

It’s not good and you can hear everything from neighbouring rooms. Air conditioning is noisy and you can even hear that through next door's walls too!
