Glaramara House is a privately owned hotel which is run by an experienced and professional team whose aim is to make your visit a memorable and rewarding experience. The location of the house is particularly striking with commanding views of the Borrowdale Fells. It is ideal base for a walking holiday with easy access to some of the best routes in the Lake District. We have 19 double/twin en-suite rooms, 5 en-suite single rooms and 8 standard single rooms. Facilities include a spacious residents lounge with log fires, residents bar, drying room and free wi-fi. Our restaurant serves excellent quality home made food using the best local and seasonal ingredients. The house is an ideal place for anyone to book who wants to enjoy the beautiful Borrowdale Valley. The Hotel and grounds also lends itself well to exclusive event hire including conferences, wedding receptions, family celebrations or walking club meetings. Glaramara is ideally placed for the second night stop for the Coast to Coast Walk and for any walkers you can leave the car behind and enjoy many of the most popular Lake District walks of all levels from our doorstep.
