Private parking.

This is a real bonus. It can’t be booked in advance and there are only spaces for about half the Silver’s rooms, but a real advantage if you can grab a space.

Superbly well equipped.

They take the self catering concept to a new level. Everything is provided, modern and in good condition. Rooms are modern too and streamlined. There’s even access to a foot massage machine!

Slightly away from the main buzz of central Barcelona, the metro is virtually next door and you can be there in about 10 minutes.

Noisy air con.

At The Silver where virtually everything is perfect, it seems a bit churlish to criticize the air conditioning which is a tad on the noisy side.

A silver cloud.

The place is closed at night with metal gates locked tight. Coming back, not too late, you’ll need to ring the doorbell to get in. After the initial irritation, though, you’ll relax with more confidence, knowing that the place is secure.

Dying for a drink.

Everything is ‘out there’ but sometimes you just want a quiet nightcap or a drink in your room. There’s no bar here, though; neither is there a minibar in the room.
