FBD Queen of the Land Festival (Tullamore, Ireland)

The FBD Queen of the Land Festival which celebrates the talents and achievements of its members is run by Macra na Feirme. The Festival features contestants from home and abroad and runs over three days bringing together Macra na Feirme members and non-members from the entire country to Tullamore for the particular weekend. The festival is bound to celebrate 50 years in 2014. In line with this, there will be great entertainment. Apart from the official opening ceremony, a vintage Parade of Queens will kick of the event on Friday night and thereafter a 50th Anniversary dinner dance with Declan Nerney doing the entertainment. Children’s entertainment will take place on Saturday afternoon before the Queens appear on stage on Saturday night as they get interviewed in front of their families, friends and supporters. Music to follow will be by Transmitter, Ruaile Buaile and Rock on Paddy. A Gala Banquet will be held on Sunday night as well as the crowning of the new Queen of the Land for 2014.
