Titanic Belfast (Belfast, United Kingdom)
The Titanic Belfast Museum is located in the Titanic Quarter of Belfast and was first opened on 31 March 2012 for the general public. It is situated near the shipyard, where the legendary Titanic was designed and built. The building serves as a reminder and therefore represents a star that was composed of four simulated ship hulls. It took nine years to construct the building and up to 110 million pound. Inside the museum, visitors will find nine galleries with multiple interactive features providing CGI, film, audio, artifacts and full-scale replicas including the ceremonial staircase of the Titanic which became famous after the film Titanic, thus experiencing what it would have been like to be on the Titanic itself. Another section of the museum is devoted exclusively to the construction of the Titanic. The Titanic Belfast also provides a venue for gala dinners, exhibitions and conferences of all sizes on the 2nd floor. The museum is open 7 days a week and last admission is 1h 40m before closing time.
