As one of Europe’s premier choral festivals, Cork International Choral Festival attracts some 20,000 visitors and 5,000 singers annually. This year’s festival takes place from 29th April - 3rd May 2015. Choirs from across the world will once again be in Cork for a programme of gala and fringe concerts, national and international competition, and world-class performances. The city will be brought back to life by thousands of participants for a celebration of all the many forms of choral music. The beautiful setting of Cork City Hall is the venue to witness the competition of top Irish and international choirs. Fleischmann International Trophy, the prestigious premier prize in European choral music, provides a thrilling climax to a jubilant five day of song as competitions run throughout the festival. Restaurants, bars, galleries and public spaces across the city are not spared either as voices from visiting choirs from around the world spill out their voices bringing laughter to a diverse range of venues as part of the Choral Trail.
