Reviews of the attached Anchor Inn seem a little mixed so it does seem that the standards are less than consistent. A number of guests found the staff rude, the service slow and the food less than satisfactory. The Old Swan Inn, although not affiliated with the hotel, seems like it’s a better choice.
The most common complaint about this hotel by far is actually about the affiliated restaurant. Beyond this issue, reported problems are few and far between.
