Positive Reviews

positive:

Delicious food at the restaurant

Service at the on-site restaurant could be a little busy, but rest easy knowing that the food is worth the wait. Meals served here are very tasty. Do try the homemade chicken pie and cheese and onion salad which the guests are all raving about.

positive:

Warm and welcoming staffs

Guests who stayed at this establishment truly felt at home. Staff members adhere to a high standard of service; they are friendly yet not overly chatty, and they are professional yet still approachable.

positive:

Historic cosy atmosphere

Most of the positive reviews online mentioned the décor and the very building the hotel is situated in. Many of them adored the 200-year old flooring, and as well as the atmosphere that the design in each individual rooms provides. Aside from the nearby tourist attractions, the establishment itself is great for sightseeing.

Negative Reviews

negative:

Mess and dirt under the bed

Many guests reported finding broken cup and dirty utensils under the beds in their room. Thus, make sure to check it once you enter your quarters. When you see unacceptable dirt in your room, you may always call for a housekeeper to clean the area.

negative:

Spotty and poor Wi-Fi connection

The complimentary Wi-Fi signal in the rooms is weak, and satisfactory in the hallways. If you're having troubles connecting to the Internet during your stay here, you can go to the lobby where the reception is strongest. Better, bring your own pocket Wi-Fi or Internet device.

negative:

Insufficient number of electrical sockets

This could be a minor issue to many, but business travellers who stayed here find the number of electrical sockets insufficient. This could be disappointing if you have many electrical gadgets with you. You may call for the front desk and ask for an extension cord.
