The hotel area is stylish and well appointed. Beds, and pillows on them, are wonderfully plush and comfortable. Rooms are tastefully decoration and the cleaning staff work hard to keep them immaculate.

Those working in both the hotel, bar and restaurant are extremely friendly and welcoming. They are happy to help in any way they can and are, without exception, approachable and very efficient.

Staff deliver food and drink quickly and efficiently. Breakfast is a light meal, but lunch and dinner options are more substantial and are tasty with generous portions.

This hotel is primarily a bar, with a guesthouse attached to it. The bar is lively and has a licence until two in the morning, which can disturb sleep. At weekends in particular the noise level from the pub begins at around seven in the evening and the sound of voices and loud music continues until the small hours.

There is parking attached to the hotel and pub, however, there are limited spaces available and many find that during peak season and weekends that they have to use on street parking instead.

Extensive refurbishment was carried out on this premises, but this perhaps focused on the bar section of the building, rather than on the hotel. While many found the rooms comfortable and modern, some staying soon after the hotel re-opened, found their rooms dated and tired.
