Hotel The Plough (Kirk Yetholm, United Kingdom)

The Plough has just five rooms which are described as cosy and attractive, with comfortable beds and good bathrooms. Rooms are spacious and the building is described as charming and traditional; a lovely place to stay.

The Plough is in the picturesque town of Yetholm with its lovely thatched cottages and is conveniently located for exploring and cycling in the surrounding countryside. The lovely log fire in the bar is a great place to relax and warm up found guests.

As a small, family run establishment, guests received a warm welcome from the hosts. The staff and service offered is friendly and helpful said guests. The locals are also friendly and convivial mentioned a few reviews. Guests also enjoyed being able to bring their pets into the rooms and the common areas, bar and restaurant.

This is actually a pub and restaurant with some rooms so it tends to get rather noisy in the evenings, with the noise carrying on till the wee hours. Ear plugs are provided in the rooms but guests found them to be ineffective. The rooms above the kitchen and bar area are nosiest on Fridays and tend to be quieter on weekdays said guests.

Though rooms are comfy and adequate, they were described as a little basic. A few guest thought that aspects such as shabby carpets and furniture and so on should be looked at anew.

One or two guests had trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi, which is supposed to be provided free of charge by the inn.
