The Fox & Hounds is located in the charming village of Uffington, South Oxfordshire, with thatched cottages in beautiful countryside surroundings. The Pub has Four AA 4 Star B&B Accommodation with en suite wet rooms built 2012 to 2016 adjacent to the Pub at ground level, with one room wheelchair accessible. There is a beamed bar, log fire in winter, and unrivalled views of The Ridgeway and Uffington White Horse. We are a Traditional Village Freehouse, which welcomes local Morris Dancers several times a year, including St George’s Day, as well as traditional and other live music from time to time. Situated in The Vale of the While Horse, off the A420 between Oxford and Swindon, Uffington is about 17 miles north of the M4 through Lambourne, of race-horse fame. The nearest Market Towns are Faringdon and Wantage, each about 15 minutes’ drive. Shrivenham Defence Academy is just 3 miles away at the Watchfield roundabout on the A420. There is much to see and do in the area. From our grounds you can see the Bronze Age Uffington White Horse on The Ridgway, and Dragon Hill, where legend has it St George slew the dragon! Uffington Village has a 13th Century Church, shop/Post Office.
