Hotel Sonesta Simply Suites Clearwater (Clearwater, USA)

Guests enjoyed the spaciousness of the rooms and found the hotel to be a good value for what you pay. They liked having ample space to move around, complete with a sofa to enjoy the flat-screen TV, a convenient work desk, and a kitchen that comes with everything you might possibly need during your stay. Some of the rooms have already been renovated and now feature new furniture and air-conditioning units.

In comparison to other hotels in the area, the hotel charges a relatively low pet fee, and there is also a decently-sized fenced-in dog yard in the back of the property.

Guests liked the hotel's amenities, which offered both comfort and convenience. For example, they noted that the pool was quite enjoyable and the surrounding tables and BBQ grills allowed for some entertaining times. The fitness center, free Wi-Fi and free use of the hotel's washers and dryers were also much appreciated.

Several guests pointed out that the rooms weren't efficiently soundproofed, as they could hear noise from the communal areas come in through the windows. They also reported that the walls seem to be quite thin, as they could overhear conversations and movies being watched from above and next-door rooms.

Some guests reported the rooms to be outdated, since the furniture and appliances haven't been replaced yet. A few rooms also didn't look all that clean, with bedding being stained and hair being found in the bathrooms.

While the overall impression of the entire staff seems to be a positive one, a few guests noted that some of the staff members failed to live up to their expectations, because they were somewhat dismissive and rude.
