Spencer House (London, United Kingdom)

Spencer House was built by the first Earl of Spencer, an ancestor of Diana, Princess of Wales, from 1756-1766. It is the only great eighteenth-century private palace that still exists in London. Visitors have a chance to visit the state rooms on the ground and first floor and the gardens which have been authentically restored. Spencer House is open for public every Sunday from 10.30 a.m. - 5.45 pm, apart from January and August. Access is only by guided tour. Please note that no children under the age of 10 will be admitted. Garden is open during the spring and summer months. Exact opening days may vary, please refer to website.
