Helpful, charming and efficient staff are always on reception and are sure to be found throughout all departments.  They have no trouble going above and beyond for your comforts and won't mind assisting with directions and optimal routes to your favourite attractions.  Very polite.

Superb locale for visiting nearby amenities and easily accessing popular Nottingham attractions as well.

Spacious, clean and comfortable rooms with large beds, lots of pillows, as well as wonderful bathrooms with luxurious heated towel rails. Plenty of secure parking available.  The views from balconies over the gardens (and ground floor rooms that step out onto the gardens) are quite lovely. 

Some didn't enjoy their evening meal in the on-site restaurant as much as the breakfast, which was also somewhat basic.  Dinnertime saw nearly burnt steaks and meat pies served after a lengthy wait by staff run off their feet and forgetful.  Try going out for dinner.

The Wi-Fi is quite difficult here and hardly connects before losing signal again.  Might as well forget trying and go elsewhere to use it.

Some found the breakfast room unclean due to the obvious issue of being short-staffed.  Other effects of this erroneous scheduling issue was the slow and pitiful buffet replenishment, no milk for tea or coffee, and amazingly long waiting times to be served.  Plates, tables, mugs and bar counters were all dirty upon inspection by some guests.  In addition, bedrooms were adorned with cobwebs, insufficient towels provided (one towel for two occupants) and significant lack of accessible features for disabled guests.  If one is to follow the instructions on cards left in the rooms, one should call the reception desk with problems- a bit difficult with no phones provided in the rooms.
