The central location of the hotel featured prominently amongst many guest reviewers who commented that it was very easy to move about the city from the hotel and it was very convenient to come and go at all hours of the day and night.
A number of previous guests to the hotel mentioned that it was obvious that some recent renovation had taken place to the reception and common areas, which reviewers noted was nicely and tastefully decorated and set a good tone for their stay.
The staff at the hotel rated highly across a number of reviews which gave positive feedback about staff attitudes, professionalism and conduct. It seems that the staff at this hotel are only too happy to provide helpful tips on where to go and what to do to their guests.
Some guests were a little confused on arrival as to the location of the reception in the hotel. The reception is on the second floor of the hotel and some previous guests commented in their reviews that better signs may assist future guests on their arrival.
Some guests did not have a pleasant stay due to the unacceptable state of their bathroom which was mouldy, smelly and damp. It seems that there is a real lack of ventilation in some of the bathrooms, according to a number of reviewers, who mentioned similar conditions in their rooms.
Some guests thought that the breakfast was a little boring and bland and whilst there was a basic and good selection of food available, some thought that for a Hampton breakfast that this did not live up to their expectations.
