Friendly Staff.

The staff are all very professional and obliging and do their best to make guests feel welcome. The staff at reception are particularly friendly and offer a warm welcome to arriving guests.

Great Location.

The location of the hotel is fantastic as it is situated right near the beautiful New Forest where there are amazing walks. Lyndhurst High Street is also walking distance from the hotel and features a large variety of welcoming bars and restaurants.

The food prepared and served in the Tudor Restaurant is of a very good quality and is tasty. The lounge bar is also very nice to relax in and have a drink and if you are slightly hungry the bar also serves snacks and light meals. Both dining options have

Noisy Road Facing Rooms.

The rooms which face the road are a little bit noisy and the sound of passing traffic can affect the peace and quiet of your stay, if only slightly. For guaranteed peace and quiet guests would do well to ask for rooms that face the garden.

The overall décor of the hotel is very tired and shabby and in many places is in need of some serious refurbishment and tender loving care.

The showers are very temperamental with regards to their water pressure and temperature. The water pressure is either a full-power blast or a light dribble and the temperature also is not stable all the time being either too hot or too cold.
