One of the things which guests most enjoyed about this hotel was the location - in a beautiful, scenic area, close enough to the village and local amenities, yet in a quiet, peaceful spot. All of the rooms have either a woodland or a river view.
Guests were impressed by the staff, who were mostly young, efficient and very friendly. They are seemingly very hard working and busy most of the time.
Some of the guests mentioned that the hotel is an ideal base for exploring the Lake District, because of its location.
More than a few guests have mentioned that the house wine is a very cheap brand and that items used in the meals, such as bread for breakfast, are the cheapest possible. Another guest who checked the mattresses reported the same - cheap quality mattresses
Some guests reported that they were made to sit at a table with the same number as their room on it. This took away the sense of choice and took away the feeling of ‘freedom’ one expects from a holiday. It was also mentioned by guests that the dining area
