This hotel is said to have a decent location for those flying in and out of Tegel Airport, with this located just a short drive away — and the taxi prices are apparently very reasonable.
A bit far from central Berlin attractions.
Some of those who stayed here considered this hotel to be a bit too far away from the city centre for convenience, and a few people mentioned that it took too long to head downtown with the bus and metro links.
No air conditioning, kettle, room Wi-Fi.
The lack of air conditioning at Gold INN Alfa was a sticking point for some, especially in the head of summer, while a handful of guests were also disappointed at not having a kettle for making a cup of tea. In addition, the Wi-Fi was not thought to be very good outside of the lobby, with some guests struggling to get a connection in their rooms.
Breakfast buffet a bit too expensive.
Guests occasionally mentioned that they thought the breakfast buffet to be a little expensive for the quality of what was on offer, but a few noted that there were restaurants, bakeries and a supermarket nearby as an alternative.
