DIY breakfast.
Good points here are as rare as hens’ teeth. Having said that, breakfast is OK, although, before you start, be prepared to go in search of napkins and cutlery.

They obviously have a hill to climb but owners are very helpful and welcoming. Basics are OK. Towels and bed linen are clean but getting tatty and need replacing.
It isn’t all bad here. Breakfast coffee from a cafetiere is second to none and the Wi-Fi is great.
Cleaning and organisation of resources leaves huge amounts to be desired. The local church has a carving of the ‘jolly rabbit’, said to be the inspiration for Lewis Carroll’s ‘Alice In Wonderland’. The Queen of Hearts comes immediately to mind!
One iffy towel is issued per double room. Not a real problem as the shower doesn’t work anyway. There is huge potential here. It could be achieved with a relatively small amount of effort. It’s such a shame that they choose not put themselves out a bit, in favour of offering such poor value.
These are not celebratory bells! In addition to enduring very sub standard accommodation, those Minster bells ring out every quarter of an hour, with the exception of just a few hours during the early hours. A memorable stay? Certainly!
