Vasa Museum (Stockholm, Sweden)

Vasamuseet or Vasa Museum in English houses the last remaining intact ship from the 17th century, The Vasa warship. The ship was discovered in 1956, salvaged in 1961, restored to its former glory and is now housed in the purpose built museum. The Vasa was one of the biggest warships of its time, it could carry 300 soldiers and was armed with 64 canons. Various exhibitions take place around The Vasa including Naval Warfare, Preserve Vasa and Life on Board. Guided tours take place in various languages.
