Hotel Diplomat Stockholm is a 4-star design hotel on the waterfront of Stockholm’s Nybroviken Harbour, where it overlooks departing ferries within a 15-minute stroll of the old town, Royal Palace and Royal Theatre. This eco-friendly hotel is a 1911 Art-Nouveau residence with Swedish artworks and art deco/Scandinavian design influences. Many of the 130 rooms have balconies with harbour views, and all have Dux beds, flat-screen TV with internet and video on demand, minibar, working area, and a tiled, en-suite bathroom with shower/bath, bathrobe, slippers and luxurious toiletries. Guest have free access to the hotel’s fitness centre, one hour’s sole access to the spa retreat area, pets can stay for a fee and conference and events facilities are available. Hotel Diplomat Stockholm’s restaurant and bar has huge feature windows and the menu features local produce, which fuses Swedish and Mediterranean influences. Stockholm Central Station is a 5-minute taxi ride away.

Whether you plan to explore by foot, metro, bus or boat, Diplomat places you perfectly for all options and is very close to the Royal Theatre and an easy walk to Gamla Stan old town.

This design hotel wears its history very proudly, and the elegant design, small quirks and artwork are found throughout. Guests found the rooms to be beautiful and comfortable, the spa retreat area divine and some rooms even had lovely harbour views.

Attracting a decent crowd, and sometimes host to events, the cocktail bar downstairs can sometimes get fairly noisy and perhaps too crowded for your liking.
