Der Legende nach wurden 2 schiffsbrüchige Seeleute (ein Chinese und ein Malaie) von einer Riesenschildkröte gerettet. Als Zeichen ihres Dankes erbauten die beiden Männer auf der Insel Kusu einen chinesischen Tempel (Tua Pekong) und einen malaiischen Schrein (Kramat Kusu), sowie ein Denkmal für die Riesenschildkröte. Im Oktober und November finden Pilgerfahrten zur Insel statt, welche dann stark frequentiert und überlaufen ist. Die restliche Zeit des Jahres kann man in Ruhe relaxen und wandern. Anfahrt zum Fähr-Terminal: - mit der MRT nach Marina Bay Station (NS27), Ausgang A nutzen und dann den Bus 402 nehmen Fähre: - ca. 30 Minuten mit der Fähre von Sentosa, Montags bis Freitags 10.00 und 13.30 Uhr - ca. 30 Minuten mit der Fähre von Sentosa, Samstag und Sonntag 09.00, 11.00. 13.00, 15.00 und 17.00 Uhr - mit dem Wassertaxi (Preis vorher aushandeln) Kosten: - Erwachsene 15 SGD (Ticket für die Fähre) - Kinder (3-12) 12 SGD (Ticket für die Fähre) Hotline der Fähre: 1800-SENTOSA (7368672)
