Kosi Bay Nature Reserve (Kosi Bay, South Africa)

Kosi Bay Nature Reserve is part of the iSimangaliso Wetlands Park. It offers four interlinked lakes, a long wide beach and estuary environments. The area has traditional fishing practices which have been dated to more than 700 years ago and have been passed through local families. Also of note, the reserve has all of South Africa’s mangrove species and is the only place where these are all found together. They also have the only naturally occurring Raphia palms. Accommodation is available within the park in self-catering cottages. Entrance fees are R15 per vehicle plus a per capita fee of R20 for adults at R10 for children under 12.
