Coca Cola Park (Johannesburg, South Africa)

Coca Cola Park Stadium is one of the stadia which will be used for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Unlike many of the stadia built specifically for the tournament, Ellis Park, as it was previously known, dates back to 1928 when it was opened as a rugby venue. It is named after a local city councilor JD Ellis, who approved the building of the stadium. The capacity of the stadium is 62,000 and it will host games in the Group stage, final 16 and quarter finals. It has previously been used for the final of the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup but is perhaps most famous for hosting the final of the 1996 Rugby World Cup. The stadium is the home ground of Orlando Pirates FC.
