Urso Hotel & Spa (Madrid, Spain)

Guests find the location of the URSO in Madrid superb and very central. There are many bars and restaurants next to it. Pedestrian shopping can be done with convenience and enjoyment. Most places are at walking distances and tourist attractions are close by.

Guests enjoy the newly renovated hotel with its high ceilings and clean and beautifully done rooms. They like that many of the original features of the palace like stained glass windows and black and white photos are retained, which they feel adds character to the hotel. The bathrooms with their shower cubicles, toilet cubicles, bath tubs and wash basins are greatly appreciated as well.

Guests mention that the staff members of the hotel go out of their way to assist and are always ready with a welcoming smile. Guests appreciated the spa services and gym facilities of the hotel. They also found the breakfast amazing with several varieties of milk on offer.

Many guests find the hotel ridiculously hot both in the common areas and in the rooms as the air conditioning was not active. Opening doors and windows in the rooms meant allowing noises to be heard so that was not much of an option.

Guests with cars consider finding a parking place quite challenging as they have to also unload luggage because it is not onsite. Some guests said that the service at the restaurant is slow and an order takes the best part of an hour to arrive despite the restaurant being empty.

Some felt that the restaurant charges were steep and many were surprised that there was a charge for every coffee made in the Espresso machine in their rooms.
