About Era Alonso Martinez

We are a hostel located in the tourist center of Madrid, next to the Alonso Martinez metro station and very close to the best restaurants, bars, shops and museums in the city. All our rooms are shared (between 2 and 10 beds, always bunk beds), with bathrooms and showers outside the rooms. Breakfast is included in the price, it is served every morning from 8:00 to 10:00. Our staff is very friendly and we will do everything possible to make the stay an excellent one, both in the hostel and in Madrid. We are always ready to help you at the reception, where we will offer maps of the city, general information and a free tour to know the center of Madrid on foot. We have a spacious room ideal to meet and meet people wanting to enjoy the city. Another of our specialties are the groups, we receive them permanently of different sizes (from 4 people to the whole hostel) and for the number of days they wish. Be you 2, 4 or 40 people we will be happy to welcome you in our hostel. WALKING TOUR OF 2 HOURS We leave the hostel and go down Fuencarral Street towards Gran Via (5 minutes) - Main artery of Madrid with historic buildings, the best shops and theaters- We continue straight through Montera and arrive at Puerta del Sol (5 minutes) - Point 0 of Spain, from here the distances to all Spanish cities are measured. It is also the place where thousands of people gather to celebrate the old night and drink the grapes We take the main street and we arrive at the Plaza Mayor (5 minutes) - It is the most beautiful square in Madrid, the perfect place to have a coffee with milk according to Ana Botella 50 meters from here is the Mercado San Miguel, an old renovated market where to eat the best tapas in the world We cross the streets of the most authentic Madrid and arrive at the Royal Palace and the Cathedral of Almudena (10 minutes) - The palace can be visited, its halls have an extraordinary decoration and you can also visit its gardens To the side this the Cathedral of the Almudena, the most important of the city We advance through the Plaza de España and arrive at the Templo de Debod (10 minutes) - Madrid's favorite place for many people, an authentic Egyptian temple with incredible views of the city We return to the hostel walking in about 20 minutes, or a little more if we sit down to take something along the way
