This large seaside hotel is located in the heart of Torquay, just three minutes' walk from the resort's famed seafront. Nightly entertainment and an indoor pool complement the Hotel Rainbow International's prime location. The hotel has 140 cosy guest bedrooms, all of which come with en-suite facilities as standard. Digital flat-screen TVs and tea/coffee making facilities are also included. Large family rooms are available. Guests can enjoy a dip in the indoor pool or relax out on the sun terrace when the sun is shining. Reception is open 24/7 and there is a passenger lift serving all floors. Free parking is available on-site. Buffet breakfasts are provided free of charge in the restaurant; main meals are available for an additional charge. Alcoholic drinks and nightly entertainment shows (including burlesque cabarets) are on hand in the hotel's nightclub venue, 'Club Rainbow'. The Hotel Rainbow International is located directly opposite the Riviera International Centre.
The 'Rainbow Club' has a really good vibe when the hotel is full of guests and there's a decent act performing on a show night. The burlesque cabarets in particular do a fabulous job of generating a upbeat party atmosphere.
Being able to decamp to a nice, warm indoor pool is a welcome option when you're holidaying in a place where fine weather is never guaranteed (it is the ENGLISH Riviera after all). Whilst the pool here is by no means the largest you'll come across, it's very pleasant and does a fine job of keeping little ones entertained.
With the beach, waterfront, International Centre and Torre Abbey all within five-minutes' walk, and the town centre and train station little more than a ten-minute stroll way; you're ideally based to see and do pretty much everything in Torquay when staying here.
Although the hotel's accommodations and interiors are suitably clean and tidy, there's no escaping the fact that this hotel is overdue a refurbishment. If you're a fan of all things 1980s then you'll be in your element here...
A lack of spaces and a commitment to pack vehicles in so tight that precious few motorists can actually get their cars out again means the parking here often provides more problems than it solves. You have been warned.
