Louis Hotel (Munich, Germany)

Many of those who stayed thought this was one of Munich’s best hotels, if not the best, and the simple elegance and tasteful decor of the spacious, clean and comfortable rooms, and the balconies with city views and occasionally mountain glimpses certainly helped.

With exits to the Viktualienmarkt and to Marienplatz, the hotel’s central old town location is perfectly located for attractions like churches, the Christmas markets, shopping, restaurants, bakeries and beer halls, with a Metro stop also nearby for easy city exploration. Guests say the location could hardly be better.

A small number of Design Louis guests noted some matters which, while not ideal, did not ruin their stay: the rooms lacked tea and coffee facilities, the air conditioning units seemed to be a little weak during high summer days and a few others thought it was a bit expensive.
