Rooms are clean and en-suite with large television and plenty of teas and coffees. They tend towards the basic but they are also at a budget price. It’s not the Ritz, but neither is the tariff!

Very welcoming, staff are also happy to store your luggage on departure so that you can pick it up later in the day.

It can get a bit loud in the bar as locals mix with guests but, if intent on a good night out, you could do far worse than start off here, or even spend the whole night at TJ’s.

They’re not good. Tired, drab and not really very clean either. Stained walls, missing TV remote control, no mattress protectors; it’s all very depressing, even at these budget prices. Plus! There’s no lift and you could be up 4 flights of stairs!

Back to the rooms and they desperately need double or triple glazing to even begin to cope with the noise from outside. Even if that worked, there’d still be the noise problem pumping up from TJ’s downstairs.

There’s only the paid parking option in neighbouring public car parks. If they are full, as they often are, you are really stumped. Even if you get in, the cost of your break here starts to rocket.
