You can walk to a number of local attractions, or take the bus, steam train or boat. There’s certainly no reason to move the car from the car park unless travelling beyond Torbay.

Rooms vary but generally they are of a good size with quality en-suites, just like the one you wish you’d got at home! The room is a nice place to return to at the end of a long day’s holiday enjoyment in Babbacombe, Torquay, Brixham, Dartmouth and Paig

These floor boards could tell a tale or two and continue to do so because, every time you move, the noise is deafening and a dead giveaway to other room occupants and neighbours.

Standards slip on a fairly regular basis so this rather special place is let down by food preparation and presentation which, on occasions, is somewhat less special, to the point of being mediocre.

But rooms in this hotel can become unpleasantly over heated. This policy may be dictated by the needs of a seemingly antiquated clientele but, whatever the reason, over heating makes for an uncomfortable stay and disrupted sleep.
