Positive Reviews

positive:

A stone's throw from attractions and transport.

The guest house is just a short stroll away from the waterfront which many found convenient especially those who arrived here by ferry. Guests who were keen to visit some of the attractions and historical monuments were pleased to find that they could walk to many of the places of interest such as the Barbican and Theatre Royal.

positive:

Spacious and comfortable rooms.

Guests said that they had everything they needed in their rooms for a comfortable stay including flat-screen televisions and hospitality trays. Many were pleased to report that they had plenty of space in their en-suites meaning they could move around easily in between the furniture and appreciated having ample storage space.

positive:

Breakfasts tick all the boxes.

Apart from an extensive continental buffet guests were also impressed by the quality of the freshly prepared dishes which they said were made using fresh quality ingredients. Those who had dietary restrictions appreciated the vegetarian and gluten-free options as well as the portions which were described as being of generous size.

Negative Reviews

negative:

Issues with showers.

Guests reported that they experienced difficulties whilst showering due to the very low pressure which meant that water was coming out as a trickle. Some also found it cumbersome adjusting the right temperature.

negative:

Tiring climb to the rooms.

There is no lift on the premises and guests whose rooms were on the upper floors said they found it quite tiring having to climb several flights of stairs whilst carrying their luggage. If you have any mobility issues it's advisable to ask for a room on the lower floors.

negative:

Internet connection problems.

Guests who wanted to connect to the Internet said that the Wi-Fi signal was rather weak particularly in rooms located on the top floor of the building.
