The Tennyson House staff is extremely helpful, welcoming and attentive. The staff is happy to accommodate all of your needs to ensure your stay at the guesthouse is extremely comfortable. They will go above and beyond to help your travel needs. They are happy to organise a taxi service or direct you on ways to get around the town.
The accommodation is a convenient walking distance from the Bedford train station and a ten minute stroll to the centre where you will find all of the shops, restaurants and the river. There is ample space for car parking, off the road around the back of hotel. There are many pubs surrounding the hotel.
Full English breakfast is served daily. There is a choice of cereals and toast along with the full english, as well as tea, coffee and juice. The breakfast is presented nicely and cooked to perfection. The staff will even accommodate your needs by changing the breakfast time to your specific preference.
Rooms on the ground floor are subject to picking up loud traffic street noise. Quiet room requests are available at booking to combat this minor feature.
The en-suite shower is very small. it is very easy to knock the shower heat control. Some guest had issues regulating the water temperature during the time of their shower.
Some guests noted a lack of electrical outlets in the room and specifically near the basin and mirror. However, many were not inconvenienced by this and it did not effect the room’s comfort quality.
