Hotel Suba International (Mumbai, India)

There's a good and very welcome advice service for tourists. Staff members here and in all other areas of the hotel, tend to be friendly and helpful.

Lots of space in the rooms and they are nicely decorated and furnished. They include all the modern conveniences, including free Wi-Fi which (usually) works well. It's a good location too; close to many of the city's attractions, the hotel is also close to both airports and the free shuttle is a significant bonus.

The food served here is of good quality. For many, the main meal is breakfast. This, too, is good. The only real fault is that it has the same content every day so, if staying for any length of time, boredom will kick in.

They don't serve alcohol here but, don't despair … there's a beer store within walking distance. The area around the hotel is quite pleasant, so there are no worries about walking there.

There are occasional room problems relating to: the air conditioning being unable to cope with the intense heat, plus, there's a lack of toilet paper, broken soap dispensers etc. All have the hallmarks of inefficient housekeeping and maintenance. Wi-Fi can be good, but occasionally, not so good. Cleaning staff can be very slow in their work and the hotel towels have a strong, chlorine type smell.

All the functions in the room are operated via a ‘tablet'. Great for the technically-minded but, for others, closing the curtains becomes a challenge too far.
