Expect a warm welcome upon your arrival at Salisbury House. Guests say that they were very pleased with the quality of hospitality throughout their stay. The hosts are enthusiastic, incredibly knowledgeable about the area and are more than happy to tell you all about it. They can give you great advice on where to eat and which bars to have a drink at. If you need tips on where to go, or directions on how to get there, don't hesitate to ask - they'll explain everything very well.

The hotel offers a complimentary cooked breakfast and guests say it's not to be missed. The food is very tasty, filling, and energising.

Salisbury House is situated in an excellent location in Dover's city centre. You'll find many local attractions within walking distance, including the Dover Castle, which most guests say is a must-visit. There are also plenty of dining options and shops nearby as well.

Most guests were pleased with their accommodations but thought that the rooms need a thorough clean and more housekeeping attention. This may not be an easy job for the cleaners, however, as the rooms are reported to be very cluttered with bric-a-brac. Cosmetic touch-ups and updates would also brighten the space. In addition, guests noticed that several amenities and bedding are due to be replaced.

Even though rooms have private bathrooms, they are not always ensuite, and a couple guests found it odd that their bathrooms did not have a lock.

Though most guests did not have a problem, some thought the room were too dark and had poor lighting.
